BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) - While the frigid weather in Houston did not result in snowfall, that didn't stop one suburban dad from making sure his front yard was covered in the white stuff.
Houston TV station KTRK reports that Garrett Lenderman used a snow blowing machine to put at least a foot of snow on his front lawn for his three daughters to play in and turn his home in Baytown into a winter wonderland.
Lenderman says he wanted his daughters to wake up Tuesday morning and see snow.
Lenderman stayed up all night to make sure kids in the neighborhood didn't dive into the snow before his daughters.
But later Tuesday, he opened up his yard to all the neighborhood kids.
Lenderman's daughters say they were grateful for the snow day.
