A grand jury has returned a capital murder indictment against a Central Texas man in the slayings of his mother and stepfather.
Darrell Wayne Parker remains in Bell County Jail in Belton with bond set at $1 million. The 42-year-old Little River man is accused of killing 63-year-old Cathy Youngblood and her 62-year-old husband, Chuck Youngblood.
Court records say Parker admitted to shooting the couple on Jan. 10 at their home in rural Bell County. Their bodies were found five days later by officers checking on their welfare at their request of a friend of the couple.
Parker was stopped later with their vehicle.
Online jail records list no attorney for Parker.
