The Republican and Democratic candidates competing to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate sought to set themselves apart in a joint appearance on public television and radio.
The four main Republicans and two Democrats running for their party's nomination had a Thursday chance to introduce themselves to voters in12-minute interviews with KUHF reporters.
Houston Public Media is calling the broadcast "A Conversation with Candidates."
The Republican candidates include Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz and former ESPN football analyst Craig James. Former state representative Paul Sadler and activist Sean Hubbard are running for the Democratic nomination.
The primary election will take place May 29.
