With Cowboy's Stadium serving as the backdrop, Aggies came to Arlington, ready to cap off their first season in the SEC.

"This is amazing. I love Aggie football and everything there is to it. Even in another town, it's amazing," said fan Crystal O'Rear.

"Sooner nation we're bringing it to today. Johnny Heisman! Go Aggies," said another fan.

Revelers arrived early to celebrate Reveille and A&M's 2nd trip to the Cotton Bowl in three years.

"We got out here at 8 a.m. and nobody was out here. People are starting to roll in and it's getting better and better by the hour," said student Cameron Blackwood.

The tailgating was dominated by Texas A&M fans and alumni but some Sooners were brave enough to fly their flag in the sea of maroon.

"It's going to take more Aggies than this to run us off. Trust me." said OU fan Ken Moore.

Benton Kirk might get the award for the furthest distance traveled for the game. He flew in from Switzerland. This morning.

"It was a long flight. They picked me up at the airport at 7:20, we started then and we haven't stopped yet. We're going till we beat the hell out of Oklahoma," said Kirk.

Mister Vargas isn't an Aggie or a Sooner, he's a Longhorn, but he wasn't going to miss a party with his fellow Texans.

"Any Texas team. Whoever! SMU even," said Vargas.

Of course we all know the main reason people come to tailgate.

"This is the biggest part of tailgating. Eating good food and having an adult beverage once in a while," said Aggie Alum Don Sullins.

A lot of fans who tailgated didn't have tickets to the game, they just wanted to be a part of the game day experience at the Cotton Bowl.

And if the Aggies can pull off the victory tonight, it'll be the first time since 1940 that A&M has won back to back bowl games and that might give all those out here celebrating even more reason to keep the grills hot through the night.
