A crowd estimated at close to 3,000 people marched to the steps of the State Capitol to hear from anti-abortion leaders.
KVUE-TV in Austin reported that keynote speaker and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott told the Texas Rally for Life on Saturday that he learned the beauty of life when lost the ability to walk.
The rally, which drew participants from across the state, commemorated the 39th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.
Speakers also included religious leaders, officeholders and representatives of anti-abortion groups.
