Trinity County An 81-year-old Trinity County man is in police custody tonight after investigators say he held his ex-wife and step daughter captive for several hours Friday morning.
Elmo Nelms is also accused of threatening to kill his ex-wife and himself.
Investigators say they got a call for help around 7 Friday morning.
Walker County SWAT, Texas Rangers and the Trinity County Sheriff's Office responded to the home on Darryl Hall Road.
Swat members were able to sneak Nelm's ex-wife and stepdaughter out of a bedroom window after they barricaded themselves inside the room.
Soon after Nelms peacefully surrendered to authorities.
Investigators say the situation came to an end around noon.
