Officials say two men have died following a shooting in the parking lot of a Houston restaurant that may have been drug-related.

The shooting happened Monday evening in the parking lot of a Taco Cabana restaurant.

Police say the victims were in a sport utility vehicle when a man in another car opened fire on them. The driver of the SUV drove away after the shooting but lost control and crashed nearby.

The Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/N87Rp9 ) reports that one man died at the scene and the second died at a nearby hospital after being rushed there.

The gunman left the scene after the shooting.
