Tyler police detained a woman after a patrol car was set on fire within a secure rear parking lot of the law enforcement complex.

Spokesman Officer Don Martin says a police employee arrived at
work around 6 a.m. Friday and noticed the 2008 Crown Victoria
patrol car was burning.

Martin says officers who scrambled to move nearby vehicles away
from the flames came upon a woman standing in the corner of the
fenced area.

Police believe the 19-year-old woman from Lindale started the
police car on fire. She'll face felony arson and misdemeanor
criminal trespass charges.
