Workers in a Southeast Texas city have discovered a body in a municipal pool.

The Beaumont Fire Department says the body was located in the water Friday morning. A refrigerator was also in the pool at Magnolia Park.

Beaumont police Sgt. Rob Flores told KFDM-TV that the body of the young male has not been identified. Police say clothing and a pair of shoes were piled near the pool.

Flores says it appears someone cut a lock on a gate to get into the pool area and also may have cut the fence. An outer building was discovered vandalized.
