Texas A&M's women's soccer coach is helping a former College Station toddler who suffered head injuries.
The Coach G Charity Bash benefiting Alexis Verzal is set for August 9 starting at 6 p.m.
It will take place an hour and a half before the Aggie Soccer Maroon and White Game at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
Admission will be free, but there will be a raffle and monetary donations accepted. Raffle items include a chance to be a guest coach at a football game, a road trip to Rice University in Houston with the Aggie Soccer Team and many Aggie sports-related items.
17-month-old Alexis suffered head trauma at a local daycare April 3. Dana Munyon is accused of injuring Alexis, and was charged in June with injury to a child with intent of serious bodily injury.
Alexis and her parents, who worked for the Aggie athletic department, have since moved to Nebraska where Alexis is receiving care at a rehabilitation center in Lincoln.
Alexis has been working hard to regain movement in her limbs, as well as regain her eyesight. One-hundred percent of the funds raised will go towards paying for Alexis' continuously growing medical bills.
