Most humans take time to get adjusted to a new job in a new place. The humans at Texas A&M are more than aware that it takes a dog a little while, too.
To that end, Reveille VIII's gradual introduction to life as the A&M mascot is going well according to the Corps of Cadets. In fact, the plan is for her to march in to Kyle Field with the Corps for the first time Saturday when the Aggies take on Kansas State.
If you've noticed she hasn't been on the field much during games, the collie has been in attendance -- just usually in a sky box getting adjusted to the game day atmosphere.
Reveille VIII arrived on campus in August after a nationwide search for the next university mascot. The seventh dog to serve as the "First Lady of Aggieland" retired at the end of the 2007-2008 school year.
Hailing from Topeka, Kansas, Reveille VIII has also been slowly making public appearances in addition to her introduction to Kyle Field on Saturdays.
Don't miss KBTX's award-winning pregame show, Aggie Gameday. The live, hour-long show previewing A&M and Kansas State gets underway at 11 a.m. from the Aggie Fan Zone and broadcasting live on News 3.
