Four cadets from Texas A&M are being recognized for their good deeds during Hurricane Ike.
Seniors Jordan Reid, Syed Hussain, Matthew May and Junior Jake Manchaca were all presented with the Corps Distinguished Humanitarian Service Medal Tuesday at the Sanders Corps of Cadets Center on the campus of Texas A&M University.
The four helped during the relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Ike.
"We're committed to service. That's part of our commitment and purpose in the corps. And when the calls were coming in for service, we just were happy to volunteer; happy to send some cadets over and help those in need," Corps Commander and Honoree Jordan Reid said.
The four cadets worked with critical needs patients in Reed Arena and with the US Public Health Service.
