A Texas A&M employee is improving, a day after being hit on campus by a Texas A&M shuttle bus.
Michelle Hayes has been upgraded from critical to stable condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
According to Texas A&M University Police, Hayes was crossing the street in a crosswalk Wednesday, when a bus turned at a stop sign and struck her.
The bus driver has not been ticketed yet, according to University Police Chief Elmer Schneider, and police continue to investigate.
Hayes is a business assistant in the psychology department.
