Scholarship Created for Slain Aggie Siblings

A Texas A&M department is creating a scholarship in honor of a pair of Aggie siblings who died in March.

The Travis and Rachel Joiner Memorial Scholarship Fund is in memory of the Eldorado brother and sister who were killed in their College Station home, allegedly by John Theusen, who had been dating Rachel.

Travis Joiner was a senior in the aerospace engineering program, part of the A&M College of Engineering.

A&M officials say the aerospace department is hopeful it can raise the money needed to endow the scholarship.

If you'd like to contribute, you're asked to make checks payable to the Texas A&M University Foundation, and also list “Travis and Rachel Joiner Memorial Scholarship Fund” in the memo section.
