The search committee to select the next president of Texas A&M University today added a survey feedback form to its online website to increase input from the public and Aggie stakeholders.
The 15-member committee, headed by Regent Richard Box, was formed last month to find and recruit the best and most qualified presidential candidates. At its initial meeting July 24, the committee announced it had retained the consulting firm Academic Search, Inc. with Dr. Robert Lawless as principal consultant.
The committee also said that it would implement a number of outreach efforts, from town hall-style meetings to an interactive website (Click here) including development of a public input website link. Now completed, the survey feedback form (Click here) allows visitors to rate and comment on the process, including criteria for presidential candidates, and to make suggestions for improvement.
"This search committee is committed to openness and maximum input from students, faculty, staff, and the stakeholders in the Aggie community," said Box. "We think the data we receive from this survey application will be of tremendous value as we move forward with the process, so that we remain as responsive as possible in finding the right candidate for A&M's future."
Direct nominations for the search committee also can be emailed directly to Lawless at TAMU-Nominate@tamu.edu. Nominations should contain full names and sufficient information for contact.
