The only College Football Pre-game Show in the State of Texas to receive multiple National Telly Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting will launch the 2009 season Saturday, September 5th at 4pm on CW Texas and at www.kbtx.com. The Fightin’ Texas Aggies will play their season opener against New Mexico.
The hour-long LIVE television pre-game show airs from Kyle Field at the KBTX Broadcast Center in the heart of the Aggie Fan Zone.
Join the award-winning News 3 Sports Team: Darryl Bruffett, Dwayne Parsons, and John Wilson as they fill you in on what’s happening around the Big XII and what to look for as the Aggies take on the Lobos. Shane McAuliffe will be out and about with live interviews from fans and other Aggies in town for Game Day. Former Aggie stand-outs and NFL players Clif Groce and Chris Cole add insight and analysis. KBTX Chief Meteorologist Bob French will be live from the playing field with Game Day weather.
Once again this year, the show is full of player features and segments like the “Opening Drive” featuring the game’s key match-ups and a game overview. “In the Zone” features a high profile personality or events involving Aggie Athletics, and the “Two Minute Warning,” an on-set “point/counterpoint” with an Aggie fan and a Lobos fan.
The new season also marks the return of the collectible, all-new 2009 version of the “Howdy Button” available at the KBTX Broadcast Center.
Aggie Game Day can be seen on KBTX-DT2 Channel 3.2 and Suddenlink Channel 8 and on numerous other cable systems throughout Southeast and Central Texas. The LIVE preview show will also be streamed LIVE at www.kbtx.com.
KBTX-News 3 is designated as Texas A&M’s Official Aggie Sports Station.
