Aggie Musician Debuts A&M SEC Song called, "Are You Down?"

Updated: Thu 6:45 PM, Sep 06, 2012

Aggie Stephen Highman builds homes in Houston by the day, but when he comes home at night he makes music.

A fan of the blues, Stephen didn't start playing guitar until he attended Texas A&M and now he has written a song dedicated to his Alma mater and its brand new conference.

"We just want to show everybody that A&M is proud to be in the SEC," said Highman.

Stephen comes from a family of Aggies. His father attended A&M and so did his brother. Together they created this magical melody called "Are You Down?"

"One late night we started messing around and I started playing that riff and we just started adding lyrics to it," said Stephen.

Stephen posted the song on YouTube and in a matter of a week it had over a thousand views.

"I think more and more Aggies are catching on everyday. It's going up a couple a hundred it seems like," Stephen said.

It seems being down with the SEC is giving football fans a soundtrack to start the season with.
