Aggies Partner on Amtrak Podcast Project

SAN ANTONIO -- A new interpretive tour of the Amtrak Texas Eagle line allows riders to listen to a history of the route as they travel.

The podcast was announced Friday as a project involving Amtrak, the National Park Service and Texas A&M University. The podcast featuring the 1,300-mile route is available free and can be downloaded before boarding.

The information highlights more than 100 points of interest on the route between Chicago and San Antonio. Topics range from Illinois farmland to the Chisholm Trail of Central Texas.

The topics were researched and written by National Park Service, along with A&M students and faculty.
