COLLEGE STATION - It had all the makings of a typical birthday party....
there was cake, more cake and plenty of blue bell ice cream....
All to celebrate President Bush's 90th birthday.
Evelyn Kingsbery says, " I admire president Bush very much and...i love this library- I'm pleased to be here..."
One of the main attractions was this four layer vanilla and edible --white house-- which took three days to make...
Rhonda White, Oh My Soul Cookies and cakes Owner.. says," it was an honor to be asked, I just love President Bush when they called - I was excited--when they chose me I was excited!"
But it was to everyone's surprise when Bush 41 chose to jump out of this helicopter....
Tracey Paine-George Bush Library says, "I found out by looking at the KBTX app on my way to work--it was a big surprise to me."
But many of the attendees say they love the message it sends to everyone of any age..
-Ben Freeman- Visitor of Bush Library says, " I think it's great, to be 90 yrs old, Amazing-- !"
"he's always said just because your old doesn't mean you have to sit on the couch, and even though he's in a wheel chair, he is still active
while many believe he completed the unexpected...they don't put it past him to do it again....
Evelyn says the presidents jump is just inspiring. " I think its awesome... I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped out again on his 95th birthday..."
And for that, we will have to just watch and wait....
