New coach, new conference.
That may be fueling the anticipation for the upcoming Texas A&M Football season.
An overflow crowd of Aggie fans showed up Wednesday night at Kyle Field's Zone Club for Coach's Night, sponsored by the Brazos County A&M Club, The 12th Man Foundation, and The Association of Former Students.
This is just one of 6 Coach's Nights across the state. And this included a meet and greet with new A&M Head Football Coach Kevin Sumlin, an auction, dinner, and of course words of encouragement from the man who will help lead A&M into the Southeastern Conference.
"Who knows what's going to happen. We're going places we've never been, watched a lot of video, but until you're on the field with some guys, you don't know. I think this kind of excitement, it's no different than our players. We're excited and coaches are ready to go," said Coach Sumlin.
More than a thousand fans packed into The Zone Club to talk about the upcoming season.
A&M opens Southeastern Conference play against Florida at Kyle Field on Saturday, September 8th.
