Condoleezza Rice To Speak Tuesday At Texas A&M’s Wiley Lecture Series

Dr. Condoleezza Rice, whose distinguished public service career included appointment as Secretary of State, will be the featured speaker — discussing “The Impacts of Modern American Politics”— at Texas A&M University Tuesday (April 1) in a Wiley Lecture Series presentation.

The program, to be moderated by Dr. Douglas Brinkley, a Rice University history professor, is set for 7 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium.

Tickets for the program are available at the Texas A&M Memorial Student Center Box Office.

Dr. Rice served as Secretary of State under President George W. Bush after initially serving as national security advisor in his administration. Earlier in her career in national service, she served as a foreign affairs adviser to President George H.W. Bush. She is currently affiliated with Stanford University.

The MSC Wiley Lecture Series began in 1982 and was named for James E. Wiley and A.P. Wiley of the Class of 1946. Through special programs, the Texas A&M student organization exists to broaden the educational experience of the Texas A&M community by encouraging thought-provoking discussion on national and foreign policy issues.
