COLLEGE STATION Redevelopment plans for Texas A&M's Kyle Field have gotten another financial boost.
The College Station City Council Thursday night voted for a funding agreement with A&M for the payment of reserve un-allocated hotel occupancy taxes for the expansion of Kyle Field.
The city says that would amount to about $14-million-dollars over the next 30 years.
In exchange, College Station would get special discounted rates on the use of A&M facilities for special events.
The new and improved Kyle Field with a seating capacity of 102-thousand-500 is set for completion in 2015 at a total estimated cost of $450-million-dollars.
