Spring break is on the minds of Aggies as they count down the days to a little rest a relaxation but the students we talked to don't plan on traveling too far from home.
"I'm going to the rodeo in Houston," said Aggie sophomore Britta Vorhies
"I'm going with some friends to Kerrville," said fellow sophomore Katie Holley
"I'm going to the Devil's River in southwest Texas," said junior Cole Skinner.
"Attend a wedding in South Texas," said freshman Victoria Peckham.
"I will be going on a Texas road trip," said senior Ashley Austin.
Yes, every Aggie we talked to didn't plan on leaving the Lone Star State. And when we asked them about going to Mexico.
"Ahhh, we'll wait a little while," joked Vorhies.
"My dad won't let me because everything that's going on down there. If I wanted to, it's not really an option for me," said sophomore Bailey Allen.
"Never been to Mexico and don't plan to anytime soon," said sophomore Zach Snavely.
"Probably not the safest choice but I'm sure there are riskier options out there," said Peckham.
It seems the travel warnings are working on students at Texas A&M.
If fact, they'd like to see our neighbors to the south do more to make Mexico safer for tourists.
"I think once I see the government step in a little bit more, I might go," said Vorhies.
Then there's the problem most of us had in college.
"None of my friends have enough money to go to Mexico," joked Skinner.
Well it might be more than money that these students save.
According to the State Department, 100,000 U.S. citizens will travel to Mexico for Spring Break.
