Older Than the Hole is Long, Senior Golfer Scores an Ace

A 102-year-old golfer out of Chico, California recently set the world record for being the oldest person to hit a hole-in-one.

Elsie McLean has been playing golf since her twenties, but never has she made a hole-in-one. Thursday, that all changed at Bidwell Park Golf Course in Chico. Using her driver, Elise aced the par three fourth hole when her 96-yard tee shot rolled into the cup. At first, Elsie and her playing partners didn't realize she'd hit a hole-in-one until they reached the green and found her ball in the cup.

Elsie is already famous for her many years as an avid golfer. She's been featured in national golf magazines and was even invited to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last year. She declined that offer. Now, however, she's apparently ready for publicity and has said "yes" to Jay Leno. She will head to Hollywood in late April.
