There is one tough goose wandering around Kentucky these days. No you're not imagining things, that is an arrow.
No one knows who shot this goose but people in the Richmond Road area of Lexington first noticed the goose earlier this week. Nearby construction crews, drivers, firefighters and passersby were all caught off guard by the sight. Many began calling animal control and other agencies, looking for help for the animal.
Authorities say whoever did shoot the goose could face criminal charges.
Officers with The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife are now trying to find the bird. They're trying to catch it so they can take it to a vet for treatment. Vets say the goose has a good chance of survival, if it's caught soon. As of Thursday, the goose is still at large.
