Paris Hilton is known for being a fashionista, but it is doubtful even the daring Hilton would want to be seen looking like this.
In honour of Hilton's jail sentence in Los Angeles' Lynwood Correctional Facility, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New York City has outfitted their Hilton statue in black and white prison jumpsuit.
"Paris is in the news again going to jail," says Stacey Shuster, the director of marketing and sales. "Madame Tussauds is all about current events, what's happening in the world of celebrity whether they are walking the red carpet or walking into jail. We decided to have a little fun with it and put her in a jail suit and see how it went. the guests have been really - they are laughing and having a little bit of fun with it. Sorry Paris -- at your expense. We understand that but, it was a cute shot and she does look good in stripes."
Many visitors at the famed museum seemed surprised and amused by Hilton's new outfit.
"I think it is hilarious actually," says Allison Millsaps of North Carolina. "Me and my parents were dying laughing. I think it is a little sad for Paris. It is a hard week for her. Maybe it will give her a chuckle if she sees it."
The real-life Hilton had better get used to the jailhouse jumpsuit.
She is expected to serve three weeks for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
