Polish Aleksander Kudajcyk, a cleaner at the Glasgow University was recently revealed as a pianist after his bosses saw him play via webcam.
"Well word fairly quickly got round and people started checking him in the webcam," said Glasgow university chapel Reverend Stuart MacQuarrie.
"They were just saying this is great, where did this guy come from? And people first didn't believe that Alek was a cleaner," he added.
Before coming to Scotland half a year ago, Kudajcyk was a professional musician in Poland.
His newly revealed talents in Britain have meant that the 28 year old cleaner is now playing concerts as well as doing his everyday job.
The fact he was so well received was a surprise to him.
"Thank you. I'm just surprised, really surprised," he said.
At Glasgow university, people flock to see him perform.
"I thought it was great, i had come to see him the last time, he was here last week i think, so i knew i'd come back again," said one woman.
"Very enjoyable and i wish him very well for the future," said another concert goer.
