GLENDALE, Calif. - Los Angeles County is trying to figure out what to do with a pack of coyotes that's moved into an upscale neighborhood in Glendale's Verdugo Hills.
As many as seven coyotes are squatting in a home that burned last November.
A county spokesman says, "When push comes to shove, human life is going to be protected over and above the life of the coyote."
Neighbors, like TV host Mario Lopez, say they moved into the neighborhood to be close to nature. And some don't want the coyotes
The law requires that trapped coyotes be euthanized because relocation could end up doing more damage by killing the animals slowly or adversely affecting another ecosystem.
The boarded up and abandoned house is due to be demolished next
