WASHINGTON - First lady Michelle Obama is showing up on another social networking site. She has launched a profile on Pinterest - a site that is particularly popular with women.
Her presence went live yesterday - and Mrs. Obama posted three boards with photos from the White House, as well as a group of shots called "great memories" and images from Father's Day.
After a few hours, the first lady had more than 1,600 followers on the site. Her being on a site considered popular with women is seen as another tool for her to reach out for voters in an election year.
Ann Romney, the wife of Obama's GOP rival Mitt Romney, joined Pinterest in February.
