A German expert says an ancient Mayan tablet doesn't predict the end of the world on December 21st, 2012.
The expert (Sven Gronemeyer) says the tablet instead says a Mayan God will return on what's interpreted as that day.
He presented his findings at a conference in Mexico yesterday. But there's still some wiggle room on just what the Mayans were saying.
The stone tablet is cracked and the end of the passage is almost illegible.
