JUNEAU, Alaska - Brooke Collins wasn't about to let a bear make a meal out of Fudge, her dachshund. She ran over and punched the bear in the face.
The 22-year-old Juneau, Alaska, woman says it happened so fast, she really didn't think about what she was doing. She says the black bear was carrying her little dog like it was a salmon about to be eaten.
Collins tells the Juneau Empire the bear ran down her driveway after letting go of the dog. Collins adds that from now on she'll be more careful about letting her two dogs.
