Atascocita A waterline break of pipes containing asbestos has caused some problems for some residents near Houston.
In order to make repairs, crews had to shut down the main water supply in the area of Atascocita Road and FM 1960 and they worked through the night trying to repair the nearly 20 year old lines.
Some businesses along FM 1960 won't have water until at least noon Tuesday.
A few hours later, Atascocita firefighters were dispatched to a WalMart fire in the area.
Firefighters knew water pressure was low because of the break, so they asked for some assistance from surrounding communities.
New Caney fire department and Porter Fire Department responded with tanks.
When they arrived, fire crews noticed a hazy smoke inside the building.
They evacuated the store and cut of all the power.
It took an hour to find the source of the smoke.
According to firefighters, the back up battery in the fire alarm control panel was smoldering.
No injuries were reported.
