Timmie Calhoun, 56, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at United Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church with the Bishop J.C. Ebbs Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Timmie was born on June 30, 1951 in Brazos County and attended the Bryan public schools and graduated from E.A. Kemp High School. He was a professional truck driver, D.J. and an automotive mechanic and loved fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timmie Carl Calhoun Sr.; mother, Viola Childs; adopted mother who raised him, Clara Calhoun; sister, Barbara Ann Calhoun; and brother, Timmie Carl Calhoun III.
He is survived by his wife, Celestine Fisher of Bryan; two sons, Chaun Calhoun of Bryan, and Timmie Carl Calhoun IV of Houston; daughters, Kashura Rios and husband, Jason of Brenham, and Tonja Williams of Austin; step-daughter, Cynthia Brown of Bryan; brothers, Tommy Roy and wife, Glenda of College Station, Cedric Calhoun of Bryan, Alvin Calhoun and William Roy both of Seattle Wash. and Richard Roy of Houston; sisters, Saundri Martin and Glenda Roy both of Bryan, Lois Marie Henry of Jacksonville, Texas and Janet Teague and husband, James of Lake Jackson, Texas; very special cousins, James and Linda Watson both of Houston; very special granddaughter, Rodejhane Nelson; other grandchildren, Dominique, Wayman, Shaquilla, Jason Jr., Jordon and Marus; and very special uncle, Rastine Calhoun of McQueeney, Texas.
