Restmeyer, Nelleen Huckaby August 29, 1922-April 30, 2008 Edith Nelleen Huckaby Restmeyer, 85, passed away in Bryan, Texas on Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Graveside services will be conducted by her nephew, Irvin Huckaby, at Restever Memorial Park in Bryan at 10 a.m. Saturday. Nell was born in the Edge Community to Effie and Barnes Franklin Huckaby. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and McKenzie-Baldwin Business College in Bryan. Her long career in business included owner of a restaurant, a floral shop, bookkeeper at First National Bank and deputy at the Brazos County Tax Office. After the death of her husband in 1971, she completed the Bryan ISD LVN Nursing Program and worked as a nurse in the community for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Restmeyer Jr.; granddaughter, Gabrielle Wilkerson; great-grandson, Weldon Scott Wilkerson; two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and John Lege; son and daughter-in-law, David and Marsha Restmeyer; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Bill Morris; sisters-in-law, Dona Huckaby, Mary Huckaby and Louise Keller; her beloved granddaughters, Stephanie McFadden and Sharisa Restmeyer; three great-grandchildren, Kohen and Madelyn McFadden and Clayton Wilkerson and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to her loving caregivers, Diane and Dee, Tammy and Carol, Pam, Esther and Michelle and the entire staff at Hospice Brazos Valley. In acknowledgement of her life-long love and care of animals, both domestic and wild, donations may be made in her memory to the Brazos Animal Shelter, 2207 Finfeather Rd., Bryan, Texas 77801 or to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77801.
