Fletcher Harold Beasley, 82, of Madisonville, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 in Madisonville. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, May 2 at First Baptist Church of Madisonville. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 1st at Day Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Willowhole Cemetery. Bro. Vaughn Tatum will officiate.
Mr. Beasley was born November 11, 1925 in Buffalo to Joseph Rush Beasley and Pearl Ejane (Chandler) Beasley. Mr. Beasley served his country during World War II in the Navy and served his county for many years as a constable. In retirement, Fletcher ranched and worked along side his wife of 58 years, Ella, in the real estate business. Mr. Beasley was a lifetime member of The Madison County Fair Association and was an active supporter of the youth throughout the county. Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his daughter, Lois Annette Tarver and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae; his daughter, Linda Butler of Bryan; his son, Harold Beasley and wife, Toni of Alvin; his son-in-law, Gerald Tarver of Madisonville; five grandchildren, Cody Beasley of Madisonville, Caroline Beasley of Alvin, Lane Beasley of Alvin, Billy Sexton of Houston and Michelle Dimas of Houston; and four great grandchildren.
