Lisa Denise Matejka, 47, of Bryan passed away on Monday, April 28, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, May 2, at First United Methodist Church in Giddings with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Matejka, two grandfathers and one grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Matejka of Bryan; son, Andrew Scott Eldridge of College Station; two daughters, Meagan Ashley Eldridge of College Station, and Amie Christine Hillard and husband, Melvin of Waco; mother, Patsy Christiansen of Paige; father, Johnnie Christiansen and wife, Sandy of Giddings; brother, Steven Christiansen and wife, Carissa of Giddings; grandmother, Hattie Christiansen of Giddings; two grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Trujillo and Amber Anne Trujillo, both of Waco; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
The family wishes any memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
