Gloria Mamaliga, 83, of Cameron and formerly of College Station, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Chris Norton officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the College Station City Cemetery. Family visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mamaliga, a homemaker, was born August 25, 1924 in Chicago. She was a member of the History Club in Cameron. She was a Pink Lady and was involved with the exercise group of the Gold Medallion at St. Joseph's Hospital and had been a member of the Women's Social Club at Texas A & M.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Mamaliga in 1984, and her son, Paul Mamaliga in 1992.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Stillwell and husband, John of Cameron; four grandchildren, Tyler Stillwell, Jessica Stillwell, Bryan Mamaliga, Andrew Mamaliga, and one great-grandchild.
