Thomas Calvin Wolz, 18, of Caldwell, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Brenham. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel of Caldwell. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel of Caldwell, with Dr. Malcolm Bane officiating. Graveside services will follow in Providence Baptist Cemetery under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. Thomas was born on October 25, 1990 in Bryan, to David Wolz and Rhonda (Calvin) Wolz. Thomas accepted Christ and was baptized at a very early age and he was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Thomas loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, baseball, basketball, and tennis were among the many outdoor activities he enjoyed while spending time with his friends. At his recent graduation, Thomas was recognized for his work with special needs children. His family and friends will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Emmitt P. and Gladys Wolz; infants, Donnie Wolz and Thomas Clifford Calvin. Survivors include parents, David and Rhonda Wolz, of Caldwell; his sister, Whitney Ray Wolz, of Caldwell; maternal grandparents, T.L. and June Calvin, of Caldwell; uncles and aunts, Emmitt and Jayne Wolz, of Caldwell, Fritz Wolz, of Caldwell, John and Sherry Adams, of Caldwell, Pat and Linda Sultenfuss, of Rogers, Jerry and Dorthea Matcek, of Bryan; numerous cousins, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Eli Gage, Cody Cravens, Cody Sultenfuss, Cody Autrey, Dillon Autrey, Christian Wolz, Ben Wolz, and Randle Lister. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chandler Malazzo, Mark Havens, Johnny Ray, Skylar Clements, Mark Junek, David Junek, Jake Scott, Josh Hibler, Justin Brinkman, Chris Jackson, Michael Dolittle, Stewart Ondrasek, R.C. Herrman, Jake Herrman, Brian Welch, Paden Hilber, Tanner Baker, Nick Haveman, Mark Poehl, Trenton Sims, Adrian Sheppard, Armon Sims, Cody Dollery, and Dylan Roessler.
