Vivian Henderson Walker, 50, of Bryan, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.

Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Samuel Taplin officiating. Interment will follow at Hammond Colony Cemetery.

Vivian was born on August 17, 1958 in Bryan to Solomon and Emma V. Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur Gene Walker.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Darmaris Henderson, of Bryan, Sigmond and Brishanda Henderson, of Dallas ; daughter, Valarie Walker-Jones, of Bryan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jehu and Joslyn Henderson, of Dallas and Solomon Henderson Jr., of Bryan; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Hall, Martha McKenzie, Sharon Henderson, Lillie Russell, Barbara and Walter Turner, all of Bryan; grandchildren, Charles Henderson Jr., Brittany Henderson, Que-Aunna Henderson, Aylaysia Jones, all of Bryan and Jammel Henderson, of Dallas; great-grandson, Jayshaun Lockett.

Arrangements are under the care of Jones-Washington Mortuary of Bryan.
