Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy 02.05.07

At Abuelo's, we take the safety and sanitation of our food products very seriously. All of the items noted in the recent inspection have been corrected and we are looking forward to a re-inspection in the near future. We pride ourselves in being good community partners and appreciate the support of our local health inspectors.

Pho John's 08.30.06

The afternoon of Monday, August 21st, Pho John's Vietnamese Restaurant was asked by a Health-Department official to suspened operation until Department standards were met. Cited offenses were: employee washing hands in three-compartment sink; personal drink in kitchen area; bean sprouts handled by hands rather than utensil; meat not labeled according to Department policy; roach seen on wall; table cleaner not labeled; no chlorine residue detected in diswasher tray (tray was not working properly); and ice scoop on its side in the ice bin. Pho John's immedidately took action to thoroughly address every concern. the next day (Tuesday), the Restaurant earned 97 out of a possible 100 points on a Health Department inspection and re-opened for business. Pho John's is committed to maintaing high health and safely standards and to providing an exceptional dinning experience for its patrons.

Fuddruckers 05.16.06

This is in response to the low score that Fuddruckers received on the health
inspection.

First off let me start by saying any issues that were encountered in the health inspection have been correct. First off we were deducted pionts for not having hot water to a sink within the Butcher shop. At the time of the visit, the butcher sink had been broken and was awaiting a part to be repaired. Two days after the inspection the sink was repaired and up and running. We were also deducted points for an employee having a drink in the Bakery in an undesignated drinking area, and a pack of cigarrettes on a reach in fridge. We have since implemented procedures not allowing employees to have drinks in any area except the back of the store and to only store cigarettes and other personal items in the office or on a ledge under the front counter. There was a deduction for not having our chemicals labeled properly and as of this moment all cleaning chemicals in the store have been labeled and are properly stored. We were also told that thre cutting board that was old and needed to be replaced which was replaced shortly after the
health inspector left the building. In short I can only say that we had a
few minor issues that were easily correctable and have since been fixed or taken care of. I feel confident that were we to recieve another visit from the health inspector today, tomorrow, or a month from now we would recieve excellent marks. I am aware of the fact the this score is lower than Fuddruckers has recieved in the past, but I am fully confident in our ability to deliver the highest quality product in the safest enviornment.

The only demerit involved chili in the steam table at 95 degrees. Due to an unusual and unexpected change in kitchen staff during the heating up of the steam table foods, the chili was only partially heated by the cook coming on duty. He mistakenly asssumed that the opening cook had already run it through the microwave oven the prescribed number of cycles. All steam table foods are routinely heated to and maintained at or above 140 degrees and the problem with the chili was immediately corrected. All other steam table foods were at the proper temperature since the personnel change had occurred after the other foods were heated for serving.

The expired Tylenol have been disposed. Employees have been told to check dates on regular basis. The microwave was cleaned out. Employees are asked to check and clean it more frequently. We have applied for the ice bagging permit and Ice bags with our name are in order and should come in soon. Our store has always received scores in upper 90s in the past 10 years of business. This is the 1st time that we received a score below 90. Customers are requested to let us know of any concerns they have regarding our store.
