  The top two teams in the Big 12 will battle it out this weekend when first-place and fifth-ranked Texas A&M heads to Lincoln for a showdown with second-place and fifth-ranked Nebraska.
• A&M Consolidated Girls' Golf Team In 1st Place At State Tournament
  The A&M Consolidated girls' golf team is probably the most inexperienced in the UIL Class 5A state tournament, with 1 senior and 4 sophomores, but you wouldn't know it by their opening round score of 319.
• Vikings Take Opener Against Lufkin
  The Bryan Viking baseball team posted a 6-1 win over Lufkin tonight at Morris Frank Park in the area round of the state playoffs. Sean Weatherford kept the Panthers off balance most of the night giving up just 1 run while striking out 14.
• Brazos Valley Bombers Add Four Junior College Players
  The Brazos Valley Bombers received another infusion of talent today as they announced the signings of Zach Grichor, Nick Anders, Daniel Meadows, and Jeff Sciba. Each of the four junior college players figure to make an important impact this summer as Bombers attempt to bring their first championship to Brazos Valley.
