COLLEGE STATION Kyle Field was rocking Friday night as Lyle Lovett took to the stage at First Yell. This is second year they've held the event at Kyle Field the night before a football game.
Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris started the night. Then Robert Earl Keen, class of 1978, took to the stage.
Fans and students packed into The Zone at Kyle Field for the performance. For Keen and Lovett, last night's concert was a homecoming.
Of course, the concert led to one of A&M's best known traditions -- Midnight Yell.
First Yell is all about bringing the big names to campus to generate excitement about the Aggies. Comedians Bill Cosby and Jeff Foxworthy have performed in the past. This is Robert Earl Keen's second year performing at First Yell.
