CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Cody Reine homered and drove in six runs and Oklahoma's bats came alive in a 14-6 victory against Appalachian State to force a winner-take-all showdown for the Charlottesville Regional championship.
The Sooners (41-23), who eliminated Army and host Virginia in must-win games Sunday, fell behind 3-0 after three innings, but scored three in the fourth, four in the sixth and seventh and three more in the eighth.
Reine also hit a two-run triple and a sacrifice fly, and Matt Oberste went 4 for 4 and drove in four for the Sooners.
Reliever Steven Bruce (2-0) went 3 2-3 innings, allowing three runs, for the victory.
Appalachian State (41-17), seeking its first regional championship, got 11 hits and drew 10 walks against five Oklahoma pitchers, but stranded 14 runners.
Rob Marcello (6-5) lasted five innings and allowed just three hits, but six runs, to take the loss.
