Alvin Ends Buccaneers’ Baseball Season, 6-4

MOUNT PLEASANT, TX -- The Blinn Buccaneers ended their 2012 baseball season here Wednesday in the third round of the Region XIV Tournament.

Alvin Community College defeated Blinn 6-4 for the Buccaneers’ second loss of the tournament.

Blinn won its tournament opener 11-6 over Texarkana College, but lost its second-round game to Galveston 2-1 in a 13-inning contest that didn’t end until 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Blinn finishes its season with a 34-24 record. The Buccaneers were 21-13 during conference play to earn the second seed out of the South Zone.
