FORT SCOTT, KS -- The 4th ranked Blinn football team beat Fort Scott 65-18 Thursday night in the JUCO season opener for both teams.
Blinn running back Marion Grice found the end zone at least 3 times on the ground with touchdown runs of 52, 19 and 5 yards according to twitter post.
The Greyhounds kicked a field goal to go up 3-0, but Blinn scored 30 unanswered points to build a 30-3 halftime lead.
At one point in the first half Blinn quarterback Eric Mathews threw a pair of touchdown passes in a span of 54 seconds as the Bucs lite up the scoreboard. Mathews also had a 58 yard touchdown run.
The victory was the first for head coach Ronny Feldman who was promoted in the off season following the resignation of Brad Franchione. Feldman was Coach Brad's offensive coordinator last season and played football for Blinn back in 1972.
The Bucs will host Southeast Prep next Friday night at Cubs Stadium in Brenham. Kickoff is set for 7 o'clock.
