The sixth-ranked Blinn College softball team has spent the past week preparing for the NJCAA National Championships.
Now the Buccaneers know who they will face in the first round.
Blinn, the third seed at the tournament, will face 14th-seeded Gordon (Ga.) College at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Canyons Complex in St. George, Utah. Gordon, the Region 17 champion, enters the tournament with a 37-17 record.
The winner of that game will play the Crowder (Mo.) College-Northeastern Oklahoma A&M winner at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Buccaneers, who are making their fourth consecutive national tournament appearance, earned their spot by winning the Region XIV Tournament championship over Galveston College. Blinn went undefeated through four games at regionals.
