Blinn softball’s season opener postponed

The Blinn College softball team will have to wait an extra week to kick off the 2012 season.

The fourth-ranked Buccaneers were scheduled to open their season Friday at the Whitecap Invitational in Galveston, but that tournament has been cancelled due to recent rain. As a result, the Bucs will now open their season at the Blinn College Round Robin at Brenham’s Hohlt Park Feb. 10-12.

Here’s the schedule for that showcase:
