Bucs close Round Robin with win over Navarro

BRENHAM, Texas – The second-ranked Blinn Buccaneers closed out their home Round Robin with a 5-1 victory over Navarro College Saturday at Hohlt Park.
Freshman Shannon O’Connor (2-2) earned the complete-game win for the Bucs, scattering four hits and walking two.
Peyton Webb and Tiffani McKnight each went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Christa Hartnett and Kristina Davila each drove in a run.
The win improved Blinn to 5-3 on the season. The Buccaneers play in the San Jacinto Tournament beginning Feb. 16 with a 2 p.m. game against Ranger College.
