Bucs win first two at Patriot’s Day Tournament

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The 15th-ranked Blinn College volleyball team swept both its matches at the Patriot’s Day Tournament here Friday night.
Blinn defeated Gadsden (Ga.) State 25-13, 25-16, 25-17, then topped Frank Phillips College 25-21, 25-17, 25-11.
The victories extended the Buccaneers’ win streak to four games and improved their record to 9-2 on the season.
Blinn continues tournament play Saturday with an 11 a.m. match against Hillsboro and a 4 p.m. tilt against eighth-ranked Salt Lake Community College.
