No. 3 Buccaneers win 8-0, set for first round rematch against Lake Land

ST. GEORGE, UT) – The No. 3 seeded Blinn Buccaneers won their third consecutive game of the day in dominate fashion, defeating No. 10 seed Central Alabama Community College 8-0 in five innings at the 2011 NJCAA Division I Women’s Fastpitch National Championship tournament at the Canyons Complex in St. George, UT.

Jocelyn Tacquard (FR, Sante Fe) went the distance on the mound for the Bucs, striking out four in a complete game shutout. It was her second consecutive win on the day, improving her record to 12-1 on the season.

Blinn (54-7) will next play at 7:30 p.m. (CDT) tonight against No. 14 seed Lake Land Community College, who defeated the Bucs 6-2 in the first round Thursday.
